From Milkshake IPAs to Blackcurrant Session Mead.
This year at HAGSTRAVAGANZA will see the biggest ever international selection of craft beers and cider from 23 different breweries.
While our guest breweries have provided us with beers that have never been poured in Ireland before, some have never been poured anywhere in the world and have been specifically brewed for HAGSTRAVAGANZA, so you’ll be drinking world firsts.

We don’t release the tap list until the morning of the event – there’s no fun in spoiling the surprise before the party. However, to keep those mouths watering in the run-up to the festival here is a sneak peak of some beers (without their brewer or beer names) that you can enjoy only at the festival:
-
Milkshake IPA – A Milkshake beer with loads of lactose. This is sweet, creamy and juicy with notes of mango, passionfruit, strawberry and vanilla, suitable for drinking, not throwing over undesirable politicians.
-
Blackcurrant Session Mead – Promises to be sweet… and… well blackcurrant-y and full of honey.
-
Raspberry Sour Ale – a wild and refreshing sour beer! This pungently tart, fuchsia red Berliner Weisse gets its bold character from a load of added raspberries and a souring lactic bacteria. Nice.
-
Barrel Aged Sour Stout Blend – a complex blend of flavours found in your coffee cup – fruity acidity, roasted chocolate, nuttiness and a rounded caramel and toffee finish. A small addition of Brazilian coffee from Anvil in Basingstoke accentuates the sweetness.
-
Wild Funk Beer – a ‘funk forward’ beer full of funky farmhouse aromas, due to ageing with brettanomyces, with subtle spicy saison like characteristics. A sensory overload.
We provide you with a tasting list for recording the beers you drink, and all beers are served to you in a 330ml festival glass that you bring home after the event (real glasses, none of that plastic stuff!).
You’ll also get to meet each and every brewer at the brewer led tastings, to get an understanding as to how the beers are made.
If you like something more special, you can buy a weekend ticket for the ‘barrel aging’ talk and tasting on the night before the festival. Hosted by our master brewer with 2 special guests, the experience includes getting to taste a selection of barrel aged beers from our crowdfunded barrel room.
