Tributes paid as 13-year-old injured during school incident dies in hospital

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy injured in an incident at a school in Fermanagh has died.

Oisín McGrath was injured at St Michael’s College in Enniskillen on Monday.

A 17-year-old school student was later questioned by the PSNI and released on bail.

The school has announced that following the ‘tragic events’, classes today have been cancelled.

First Minister Peter Robinson described Oisín’s death as ‘heartbreaking’.

Regarding what had happened on Monday, the school said that a group of students had been playing at lunchtime “when one student became unwell and we sought medical assistance”.

“He was taken by ambulance to the South West Acute Hospital for medical treatment.

We have no more information at this time. The school is being supported by the Western Education and Library Board.
