A DEER HEAD was found in a house in Tallaght thanks to the actions of gardaí acting under Operation Bambi.
Set up late last year, it is aimed at cracking down on the pursuit of deer by “unscrupulous” hunters.
It involves the cooperation of the gardaí and the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Heavily involved in Operation Bambi are gardaí from Carlow.
Its most recent find was on 11 April, when gardaí searched a house in Tallaght under a search warrant.
Inside the house, they found a deer head. Investigations are ongoing into this case.
Operation Bambi was first launched in October 2013.
In November 2013, three private residences were searched. Three people were arrested and the investigation is continuing.
