David Gray, Mogwai and Lisa O'Neill head up Other Voices return

Established and up-and-coming stars are on the bill, but unknown acts are also being given a shot.

THE ICONIC MUSIC programme Other Voices will return to Dingle next month.

RTÉ has revealed that the show will return to St James’ Church from 6-8 December with Aidan Gillen back to present.

The 12th season of the show will be led off by Welsh singer David Gray, Scottish post-rock icons Mogwai and Cavan singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill.

In a repeat of last year, RTÉ and Other Voices will give music fans the opportunity to select the artist for the final IMRO Other Room slot.

Artists of all genres are invited to submit a YouTube link to one video or a link to a recording for consideration to the show’s website. Entries must be in by 20 November.

The head of Comedy, Talent Development and Music at the station Eddie Doyle says that working with new bands is key for RTÉ.

“Supporting the development of emerging talent is a key priority for RTÉ and we’re delighted to increase our support of Other Voices by partnering with IMRO to uncover new talent in the IMRO Other Room.”

Tickets are free and can be obtained from the Other Voices website.
