Man in his 40s arrested in connection with the Patricia O'Connor murder investigation
ANOTHER ARREST HAS been made by gardaí investigating the murder of Patricia O’Connor.
The 61-year-old’s remains were discovered scattered in a 30km area across the Wicklow Mountains in June this year.
This morning, a man in his 40s was arrested in the Dublin area.
He is currently detained at Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
On 2 September, investigating gardaí made three other arrests in relation to this case: a 73-year-old man in Co Meath and two women aged 19 and 38 in Dublin.
Days after the body was discovered, gardaí charged a 32-year-old man with the murder of the woman. The man, who’s the son-in-law of Patricia O’Connor, told the court that “it was self-defence“.
Kieran Green, with an address at Mountain View Park in Rathfarnham, Dublin, remains in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
