Petrol station in Dublin robbed by men armed with a gun and a hammer

Two men have been arrested after the armed robbery.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after an armed robbery at a petrol station in Dublin.

The incident happened on the Stillorgan Road in Blackrock o nthe southside at approximately 6.25pm on Tuesday when two raiders entered the service station, threatened staff, and demanded money.

One of the men was armed with a gun while the other had a hammer.

They fled the scene in a nearby car with an undisclosed sum of cash.

However, shortly afterwards gardaí from Blackrock arrested two men on the nearby Lower Kilmacud Road and a sum of cash was recovered.

The two men are being questioned at Blackrock garda station.
