Minister Holding Portrait of Himself of the Day

IT’S BEEN QUITE the day for Environment Minister Phil Hogan who has had to field questions about allegations of racism but that has not stopped him from enjoying himself at the Ploughing Championships.

Earlier he held a hurley, tried on a beanie hat and in the picture above he held a portrait of himself engraved onto a piece of wood that was presented to him by Jeremiah Dennehy (left) and Maura Walsh (right) of Brogeen Crafts.

We’re sure it will take pride of place above the mantelpiece in the Hogan household.
