TWO MEN HAVE been charged in connection with the death of a policewoman who was killed in a car crash involving a stolen car in Derry in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The men, aged 25 and 23, have been charged with offences including aggravated vehicle taking causing death or greivous bodily injury and are due to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court later today.
Constable Reynolds, 27, died in a two-vehicle collision on the Limavady Road at 3.40am. Two other officers also sustained injuries, believed to be not serious, in the crash.
The 25-year-old man has been charged with a total of 10 offences which include causing death by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking causing death or grievous bodily injury, burglary and driving while unfit to do so.
The 23-year-old has been charged with four offences including aggravated vehicle taking causing death or grievous bodily injury, burglary, criminal damage and assisting offenders.
