Photos: The world rallies in support of French terror victims

Large crowds gathered in a number of Irish cities to pay tribute to victims of the terror attacks.

PEOPLE IN COUNTRIES all across the world have come together at rallies today to stand in solidarity with France at a time of overwhelming grief.

In Paris, tens of thousands of people have already gathered in the Place de la Republic hours before a march to mark the nation’s defiance and sorrow in the face of this week’s terrorist attacks. Several world leaders will attend the ‘unity’ event, including Taoiseach Enda Kenny, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Germany’s Angela Merkel.

This afternoon, large crowds have been marching through a number of Irish cities, many carrying ‘Je suis Charlie’ signs.
