Gigantic fun and games at New York engineering and inventor festival.

THE WORLD MAKER Faire was in New York City last weekend. More than 500 engineers, inventors, scientists and crafters converged at the two-day outdoor festival, which took place at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.

Among the 3D printers, roaming Cupcake cars and endless craft booths, was a 50,000-pound Life Size Mousetrap inspired by the children’s board game. The contraption took engineer Mark Perez 13 years to build.
