THERE ARE STRICT penalties in Ireland for anyone found using a mobile phone while driving.

But research by the University of Sussex earlier this year found driving while talking on a hands-free device can be as distracting as a hand-held device. The RSA has said that, while it will impact on your concentration, it is not illegal to use a hands-free kit.

So, we want to know: Should there be a ban on taking calls on hands-free devices while driving?

Poll Results:

No (10504)
Yes (3526)
I'm not sure (1171)
