FIGURES THIS WEEK highlighted how much parents in Ireland struggle with back to school costs.

In particular there were calls for the Minister for Education to stop the practice in schools whereby students are forced to wear specialised (and expensive) uniforms they can only get from one shop rather than low-cost generic versions.

The minister has said it is up to parents to put pressure on the schools to change their policy.

We want to know what you think: Should schools be forced to allow generic uniforms?

Poll Results:

Yes (9127)
No (2027)
I'm not sure (359)
