What about all that money the South gave to improve your infrastructure year after year?

Safe to say we know what Sammy Wilson wants to see on the G8 agenda, then.

Oh, another thing, without the British government subsiding NI by sending you public sector jobs, what economy would you have?

If terrorists hadnt bombed our economy for 30 years we’d be ok, how would ROI get on if the heart was bombed out of its economy?

Yes, David. Because it was thriving beforehand. And shipbuilding is such a growth area. It’s a pretend little hamlet that only exists because of ethnic cleansing and which is absolutely in no way self sufficient. Ye would be crawling on your knees to the Republic if the UK wasn’t paying a conscience tax of £12b a year into your wee six counties. Such an exalted sense of self importance.

Our economy up until the 60′s was fine. The 12bn is one of the benefits of being a part of the UK, every other region benefits from it too, its not 12bn every year either by the way, its fluctuates depending on how well or how poor the regions are doing. ROI gets handouts from the EU and only rose as an economic power in the 1990′s, I lived in Donegal in the 1980′s and the economy was stagnant then. The Celtic tiger has now came and went though and for that reason you shouldnt be mocking us, after all we have a smaller population that you, you are 3 times our size but its clear to see that you dont perform 3 times better than us in any field.

Self importance you say, not at all, im a modest sort. I wont sit idle though while my country is dragged through the gutter by stuck up southerners who are riding on some sort of imaginary high horse, going on there as if you are some sort of superpower, at least we are part of an actual world power and our legally held passports confirm that. The fact most nationalists up here are now starting to see they are better off in the UK should serve as the final insult to your backwater nation. Heres to the centenary in 2021.

    Nice one David,

Sure South Africa had a great economy too, ignoring the racism and apartheid, and wasn’t India great when the British were ruling and murdering and stealing.

The good old 60′s in NI, with human rights abuses that would make any civilised person sick, denying votes, equality of opportunity, and state sanctioned murder of peaceful protesters…..

The good news is dinosaurs like you will all be dead soon, and hopefully your bigoted narrow minded idiot views will follow you to the grave.

The only bigots on here are those who are badmouthing NI’s economy while ignoring the fact that it was republican terrorists that played a big part in slowing our economy down. The people who are talking this thrash on here and likely supporters of said terrorists therefore are hateful and bigoted to a higher degree than most. What was sickening here was bombings like that of Enniskillen, La Mon hotel or Coleraine, thats the things that would make the civilised people sick, sadly people like you wont see that because IRA violence to you is acceptable while everything else is seen as awful, your crowd were the biggest mass murderers in Northern Irelands history, never forget that, I sure as hell wont. BIGOT.
