20 years of it ? It sounds as if no man can even look in this person’s direction and she puts it down as some form of abuse. I suspect some other underlining issues in play here …

    @Siobhán Ni Mhurchú: Im inclined to agree.

    Also, “all women have ptsd”..seriously? I was taught from a young age to ignore unwanted advances or attention, and to get away if you feel uncomfortable. The only time i didnt fully stick to this was when i ended up in a nightclub with an injured ankle, and had a hard time physically moving fast.

    Yes, i have been groped, but if it is someone i dont want doing it, i remove their hands and tell them to back off. I put other people between us and state why: That person is trying to grope me against my wishes. Making what they are doing known generally stops them.

    Anyone who inappropriatly or unwantedly touches others needs to learn not to. I was one of those for a couple of years, then stopped when i realised that it was sexual harrassment. Anyone who experiences this needs to speak up and put themselves in a better position to avoid such things, if they can. This applies to both men and women, on both sides.
