JOE BIDEN WILL be officially sworn-in as the 46th president of the United States today.
This year’s inauguration will be like no other, taking place amidst a global pandemic and two weeks after riots at the Capitol.
The official transition of power will take place at noon local time (5pm Irish time), but Donald Trump has already said he won’t be there to pass the baton to his successor – becoming the first outgoing president not to do so since Andrew Johnson in 1869.
Trump may not be watching, but many others will be.
We want to know: Will you watch Joe Biden’s inauguration as US President?

One wonders if he received payment for his integrity. Just odd that his admission appears as an exclusive in one national newspaper..
It’s not an exclusive. It’s in all the papers. Not surprising as he spoke to reporters outside his home.
I honestly think that people in general will accept this at face value because he has been so open and frank in accepting the full blame, no attempt to divert the blame or muddy the waters to save face, if he feels like running in an election in Ireland I’m already willing to vote for him knowing nothing more than that.
Unfortunately I can’t see this saving his business. If he is in the security trade missing a small detail like this is unacceptable.
Now if only our political plods could do the same.
Sadly I agree Alan. Who would hire him now even though he is truly remorseful and I bet he’ll not make that mistake again!!
