FG/LAB over the last 5 years have exasperated the housing crisis all in the name of a failing Europe… Yet people vote the major protagonists back in. We deserve what we get from these absolute liars…

    The article ignores the fact that without these inflows of foreign capital buying assets off NAMA and our state-owned banks, the public finances would still be in the toilet and we would still be in an IMF bailout.

    Like the national lottery for example? Sell a licence to print money for short term gain right? The point is that they sold accommodation for a fraction of it’s cost to wealthy speculators, instead of selling it to the Irish people that needed it. There were opportunities to fix things without pricing ordinary people out of the market, senior bondholder noonan never even considered anything that would even hint at rich people missing a chance to grab all they could. It’s disgusting.

    We still are, the Troike did not go away they just moved offices as can be seen when they pay regular trips to the Department of Finance.
