In the full clip you can see the bouncer look around to see if anyone is watching before he stands on the chaps head.

True is he way out of line but there’s two sides to every story. For all we the person on the ground smashed a glass over his head minutes earlier and punched a girl in the face. None of it is justified but there’s more going on here than what we are seeing.

Daniel, no matter what may have happened earlier on doesn’t justify this abuse. The man shouldn’t be in the job if he can’t exercise self control, it was totally his own decision to stand on a man’s head, nobody made him do it. The pub was right to terminate his contract, now will the guards following up? I don’t think so.

I’m sorry but your comment is totally out of context… Yes there are two sides to a story, but the law applies to all parties. A person cannot just stand on someone’s head nor shout verbal abuse at a person being restrained.
    1. If you have to, then if necessary restrain up to a point.
    2. Notify management
3.Notify the gardai straight away including
updates of the incident that has arisen.

What that person did is assault no matter what..

It doesn’t matter. Bouncers are there to deal with misbehaviour and nothing justifies this cowardly action.. If the guy on the ground did something illegal then he should be handed over to the Gardai to be dealt with..

Some bouncers believe they are the law, and are known to protect there own interests inside the bar/club, whatever. They have one kind of justice. Name and shame policy would be nice here….

Sure it’s widespread across the country. Bouncers round my area were notorious for this kind of carry on. Thugs with a license. Beating lads for little or nothing. And if the cops are called ur guaranteed they take the bouncers side.

Most bouncers are s**m, especially the ones in Kilkenny. They pick on people who are on their own and who are pretty drunk. They are full of steroids and they control the drug dealing in most clubs. This clown should go to jail and never work a door again but I bet he will just be moved to somewhere else.

He could have killed that man by standing on his head. Cowards like that deserve to be spat at.

Rubbish!!! The video clearly shows the “victim” on the floor at the mercy of another bouncer. That first bouncer is doing his job. The “victim” more than likely did do something to get into that situation, but it is being dealt with by bouncer 1.
What the second bouncer does is only being defended by you because he is in a position of authority and you assume he is right to act like this. If it was another thug walking past who got caught doing that you wouldn’t defend him!!
It’s wrong no matter how you look at it. The man was on the floor. There aren’t enough names under the sun to describe that fella

Notthatguy happy new year. This is called Gbh a crime punishable by a prison sentence once the bouncer thug faces the general public on trial. But the DPP will not prosecute because their budget got slashed over the past four years.

If any parent is reading this whose child aged 14 years were at the Wright venue be warned the security is so lax children were smoking in the smoking room. A girl was passed out and other people stepped over her. 3000 plus kids .. In the venue on 30/12/2015 at €25 a pop for a ticket. Police called and done nothing.

Imagine if panic broke out these kids have to exit three floors depending on themselves to find exits.

The public are entitled to be kept safe at all times in places of public resort. If you find any locked block exit door report the venue to the fire department and get these premises fined or shut down. Tiger security now have a notorious bad reputation. Fare play to the person who exposed them with the camera.

All the red thumbs are hilarious! If you found out the guy was caught raping a girl in the toilets then all you would be calling for his head and saying things like “if that was me, I would’ve done much worse”. Bunch of hypocrites! And to add I never once said they were justified or anything of the sort as people have implied.

    Daniel

Most girls in nightclubs these days will have consensual sex in mens toilets. They don’t need to be coerced.
