I fear Gemma O Doherty will not receive enough nominations such is the corruption in this state. Councillors arent interested in voting for someone who will expose their criminality.

    If those hardworking upstanding people in Local Government throughout the land had concerns of the nature you describe, would it not then be in their best interests to actually vote Gemma in, to distract her from her current daily toil?

    You are aware a President of Ireland has a busy schedule of daily chores – including traveling hither and tither attending events meeting people throughout Ireland and abroad during the full seven-year term of office – none of which comes under the heading of investigative journalist AFAICT.
