    @Ray Reilly. There was no way of stopping the metres being put in the ground without getting arrested. This protest has been consistent since the beginning. I don’t really get your point.

    I don’t support water charges but I will not be supporting this group.

    Supporters of the parties who make up this group are some of the same people who violently, and through mob-assault, shut down a rally a couple of weekends back organised by people who wanted to raise concerns about the growth of Islam and mass immigration in Europe.

    I did not see condemnation for these assaults from the parties present at their so-called “peaceful counter-protest” so I am lead to imagine they condoned the violent behaviour of some of their supporters to deny people’s freedom of speech. I saw their supporters gloating about it on social media.

    In fact Peter O’Loughlin of Identity Ireland who is the only leader of a political party to speak out against the EU and mass immigration was hunted down in Dublin and beaten for trying to attend. He will be wearing his wounds on the ballot in North Cork.

    Sinn Féin, AAA and People Before Profit will be getting ZERO votes from me.
    I’d rather pay the water bill.

    Far beyond the Acuslagh Mountains outside Navan, Appeared Moses, of the tribe of Dan. In another incarnation Moses was in fact Dan from the Town of Navan. When he was Moses he removed to the Town of the Tribes In the West. There he grew a great beard and proclaimed himself the saviour of the West. He professed to be a Linnet man, and a green man, and a madman before he arrived. After reading Yeats poetry he wrought himself a staff of Hazel wood and transformed into Saint Patrick.. Shaking the Town of the Tribes to its very foundations. He proclaimed himself to be the second coming as spoken of in the blue book or annals of the four masters. He thus banished none EPF people back to the pails of settlement from whence they had decamped during the Scorched earth policies of FF and FG. Nothing survived in that wilderness after these political criminals. So annihilation, consummate with the policies of this hard core cabal, was not repellent to the true believers, Saint Patrick assented to they’re rights of passage, after condemning them from the newly establishes Christian pulpit .

    The issue is the violent mob-assault on people who wanted to peacefully assemble and voice their concerns and the lack of condemnation from the parties present at the counter-protest over the assault.
    The merits of their concerns and beliefs is to be debated but not obviously according to the mob who assaulted them.

    There’s no debate Malice. The government are trying to pretend it’s done and dusted. All there is are smoke and mirrors. Enda and co have consistently shown that as far as they are concerned it doesn’t matter whether Paddy ‘knows’ or not, they have their agenda and they are sticking to it. Wake up a small bit.

    I won’t be voting for AAA People before profit or Sinn Fein. And I won’t be paying water charges. I’ll be voting for anyone who will abolish Irish water that isn’t any of the above. Paying for water as a concept isn’t the problem. The super quango that is Irish Water is. Abolish it. If someone wants to deal with the mass islamisation of Europe AND abolish Irish water they have my vote.

    @De Wit

    Did any of the parties present at the counter-protest express condemnation over the assaults? Hundreds of people broke off from the main counter-protest to charge down Cathedral street at the PEGIDA supporters shouting “Nazi scüm – off our streets”. They were surrounded and backed up against a wall while the Gardaí tried to beat the attackers back. I saw people waving People Before Profit signs in the thick of it. You can see video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_REls3JkxzQ

    We all saw who the real fascists were that day.
