If you don’t vaccinate your children for any other reason than medical, you are clearly an uneducated idiot. You could kill your own children and unfortunately other people’s children because of your stupidity.

    @Ian Oh: Informed consent – looking at facts and drawing a reasonable conclusion. What reason other than medical deserves consideration?

    @Sinéad Cronin: Risks and possible permanent damage to your child to gain what?? Probably nothing as from a lot of time spent researching vaccines, I have not yet found any solid proof of efficacy. Why, you ask??? Don’t get me started. I lost my youngest child from vaccine damage. There is no greater reason. End of. Read the information Inserts from any vaccine. They are scary stuff and the HSE does not give them to any parent so in essence there is no informed consent here in Ireland. Just bullying and taunting. Just like the majority of comments here on this article. Anyone who questions the validity of these things is mocked, taunted, bullied and called a lunatic. So much for reasonable discussion and the search for facts. It’s more like a mad religion, where you are not allowed dare ask any questions. It’s too late though. The mantra is not working in a lot of cases any more and there is a massive movement gaining momentum in search of facts that is unstoppable. Which I am pleased about. If I can save even 1 other child’s life from this unnecessary craziness (that’s the conclusion I have come to after a lot of research), it’ll be worth it.

    @Ian Oh:
    No solid proof of efficacy??
    Now I’ve heard everything – have you lost your mind?
    Have you any idea what the rates of smallpox, polio etc. were before vaccines against them were created?

    @Ian Oh: Sweet Jesus Ian Oh it would be funny if it wasn’t so bloody depressing. Walt mentioning the rates of Smallpox and polio shows the level of education being dealt with here.

    Walt go research Leicester in England and Smallpox…. Because it was what they did there that eradicated the disease and absolutely nothing to do with the vaccine. In fact they had seen enough children dying from the vaccine that they took matters into their own hands.

    And in regards to Polio, that was already well into eradication before the vaccine was being introduced. The deaths had already flatlined well before it’s introduction.

    In fact the CDC just after put the eradication of both diseases down to Chlorinated Water….and advertised it as so. So when you say do we have any idea of rates of small pox and polio before vaccinations I will tell you not only are we are of them before, we’re aware of them during and after also.

    Ps Scarlet Fever never had a vaccine made…guess what…it ain’t around no more !!!
