JOE BIDEN WILL be officially sworn-in as the 46th president of the United States today.
This year’s inauguration will be like no other, taking place amidst a global pandemic and two weeks after riots at the Capitol.
The official transition of power will take place at noon local time (5pm Irish time), but Donald Trump has already said he won’t be there to pass the baton to his successor – becoming the first outgoing president not to do so since Andrew Johnson in 1869.
Trump may not be watching, but many others will be.
We want to know: Will you watch Joe Biden’s inauguration as US President?

I would imagine so. Its usually the point. I did it last year and its the money for the charity that keeps you going. Regardless though its very sad
Deirdre, doing something so selfless? What are you on about?
Running a half marathon to raise money for charity. In my world thats selfless.. what is wrong with you people?
How do you know he was doing it for charity? For Whatever reason he was doing it, RIP.
As I asked before and for some reason it was deleted, does anyone know the charity he was running for?
Before the comment police hit again, I ask as after a similar tragedy at the London marathon a charity saw a spike in donations?
Im sure the charity will be named, probably after all his family are informed. Feel very sad for him and his family. And as i originally said, i hope him running selflessly for charity gives them some comfort.
does it bloody matter if he was doing it for charity or not !!!! the poor man tragically died , thats the point people are trying to make
Go away you horrible excuse for a man!
For Jim Lenihan
It doesn’t say he was running for a charity. Most marathon runners don’t. Stop making assumptions.
I agree, I’ve run a lot of events, half and full marathons, I’ve run for charity twice only.
It’s awful sad this has happened, R.I.P. thoughts with his family and friends.
Tommy Selfless,Selfish,Shellfish are you still confused?
If you’re trying to make a joke here, i’m not laughing…….
Use your head, why don’t you?
Deirdre stop hogging up the message board and give other people a chance!
Comfort…are ya kidding me…the poor auld soul died!!! As in he’s DEAD….they’re probably cursing as we’re writing here…maybe in time they’ll say it but definitely not now! God love him, just hope it was quick and he didnt sufer!
Considering Lenihans comment was removed – I must be right in my assessment of him !!
