Here's the average price of a home in Bray in 2018
THE AVERAGE PRICE of a home in Bray is now nearing €390,000 according to brand new Daft.ie figures.
Bray, a coastal town in north country Wicklow, still remains a stronghold for international tourists and day-trippers from Dublin.
It’s also a tempting location for city commuters looking to put down roots, as is evidenced by the continuing rise in prices.
The exact price you’ll pay for a home in Bray stands at €388,799, higher than the Wicklow average of €360,582. That’s according to Daft.ie figures for the first three months of this year.
Anyone hoping to make savings by buying in Wicklow instead of Dublin will need to set their sights beyond Bray – you’ll pay more on average in this coastal town than you will in four of Dublin’s six key markets.
As for other parts of Wicklow, Bray is topped in price by both Greystones and Delgany, where average prices come in at €414,455 and €466,483 respectively.
Wicklow’s priciest address by a long shot is Enniskerry, where you can expect to pay in the region of €648,055 for a property. For lower prices, check out Blessington, Avoca and Arklow, where homes all come in at under the €300,000 mark.
Bray’s current house prices are still well below its Celtic Tiger peak – you’ll pay around 28% less right now than you would have at the height of the boom – but given the upward trajectory in prices, buyers shouldn’t rest on their laurels for too long.
