Here's the average price of a home in Dundrum in 2018
THE AVERAGE GUIDE price of a home in Dundrum is now nearing the €500,000 mark, according to the latest market figures.
Dundrum, a bustling suburb split across the Dublin 14 and 16 postcodes, has plenty of long-established residents.
But the influx of city centre workers and growing families means prices have shot up in the last few years.
Analysis by Daft.ie of prices across all properties in the last three months of 2017 puts the exact price average at €489,959.
If you think that’s high, you’re right – it puts Dundrum in the top 30% of Dublin neighbourhoods by average price.
Of course, Dundrum is in good company when it comes to eye-watering house prices. By Dublin 16 standards, it’s relatively low: you’ll pay €638,000 in Goatstown right now, and €544,000 in Churchtown/Windy Arbour.

For a drop in price, you’ll need to set your sights slightly south to Dublin 14, where €457,000 will get you a home in Ballinteer, and €467,000 a place in Knocklyon.
In terms of how prices have risen since the recession lows, it’s worth noting that Dundrum’s growth is on a par with the national average of 70%.
In fact, it comes in just below the average, with a growth in price of 67.3% since 2012. Given that some postcodes have seen increases of more than 100 per cent, Dundrum has remained relatively conservatively priced.
