Here's the average price of a home in Shankill and Loughlinstown in 2018

THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Shankill is now more than €450,000, according to In Loughlinstown and Ballybrack it is slightly lower, at a shade over €400,000.

Analysis by across all properties listed in the three areas in the second quarter of 2018 puts the average list price at €455,603 for Shankill, and €402,135 for Loughlinstown and Ballybrack.

These figures are among the lowest average prices in south county Dublin. Only Sallynoggin, at just over €425,000, is in the same league – while a shade north in Killiney, the average price is €632,138.

Prices to the south in Bray are slightly lower, with the average currently sitting at €399,095.

At the peak of the Celtic Tiger boom, prices in Loughlinstown and Ballybrack were more than €550,000 on average while in Shankill the mean reached almost €600,000.

They then collapsed to lows of €233,000 and €261,000 respectively during the recession.
