Poll: Do you support Ireland's plan to take in 4,000 refugees?

IT WAS CONFIRMED this morning that Ireland is to accept an initial 4,000 refugees to help deal with the current crisis.

Reception and orientation centres will be set up around the country. More than 4,000 people could eventually be accepted to reunite refugees here with the families abroad.

The 4,000 figure is more than the 1,800 previously stated but less than the 5,000 suggested last week.

It is understood that some refugees in groups of 50 or 100 will arrive within weeks.
