AROUND 300 MEMBERS of Republican Sinn Féin took part in a parade down O’Connell Street to commemorate the Easter Rising today.
The group, dressed in paramilitary uniforms, many with their faces covered by scarves, started at the Garden of Remembrance and made their way to the GPO.
Their parade attracted a large crowd of spectators and the attention of some confused tourists. A significant number of gardaí were also present at the event, but it concluded peacefully.
Further events involving republican groups are planned for tomorrow afternoon.
