Second arrest in connection with murder of Dubliner whose body was found in field

This is the second arrest in two weeks in relation to the killing of a Dublin man.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in relation to the killing of a Dublin man two years ago.

This is the second arrest gardaí have made in relation to the death in two weeks.

A man in his thirties was arrested in Navan this afternoon in connection with the death of Paul Gallagher, a Dubliner in his late 20s.

Gallagher’s body was found with gunshot wounds in a field in Ballymacan in Meath on 30 July 2014.

Two weeks ago, gardaí made another arrest in Drogheda, Co Louth in relation to the case.

The man arrested today is currently being held at Navan Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939/98.

Two weeks ago the person arrested was being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
