A 42-YEAR-OLD MAN has been found guilty of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in the gift shop of Madame Tussaud’s, the famous waxworks in London.

Oldkount Ballabbas of no fixed abode was found guilty at a London court of child abduction and sexual assault on a child under 13.

The incident happened on 8 August last year when the victim was alone in the gift shop after leaving her mother and her family in the café next door.

Ballabbas began talking to the child before moving her into a quiet area of the gift shop. He then started touching her chest over her clothing and kissed her on the cheek.

The girl repeatedly asked to go back to her mother but Ballabbas held her by her shoulders, preventing her from escaping.

The 8-year-old only got away when he was disturbed by another shopper and lost his grip on her, giving her time to flee.

Ballabbas fled the scene immediately but was arrested two days later close to Madame Tussaud’s.

Metropolitan Police officers said it was not the first time that he had tried to touch other girls or women.

“Ballabbas is a dangerous man and CCTV has revealed that he followed females of all ages prior to the attack on the little girl,” said Detective Constable Liz Clements.

He will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on 6 March.
