Three shots fired at Derry GAA club
THREE SHOTS WERE fired outside a GAA club in Derry late last night. Nobody was injured during the attack.
Police at Dungiven are investigating the incident which occurred on the Foreglen Road at about 11.30pm.
The PSNI were notified after staff at the local GAA club heard three shots being fired in the vicinity. They had been stock taking at the time.
On examination of the area, officers found two strike marks in a blue Ford transit van parked in the club’s carpark.
Anyone who noticed any unusual activity in the area or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police in Derry on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
