SINÉAD O’CONNOR HAS pulled out of a scheduled gig this week at the Galway Arts Festival Big Top and cancelled a string of European dates, citing “exhaustion”.
The singer was due to play this Thursday.
The Galway Arts Festival confirmed the news this evening in a statement. The gig will go ahead, with John Grant moving up the headline slot, and Sharon Shannon being added to the bill.
“Sinéad O’Connor apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore”, as statement from Sinéad’s agent said.
“She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest.
Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform.
