IF AT FIRST you don’t succeed etc etc….

SpaceX are restocking the International Space Station these days with NASA currently shuttle-less.

More than that though, they’re trying to develop a new type of rocket booster that doesn’t just burn out and splash down at sea.

Instead, they want their Falcon 9 booster rockets to have a much slower descent to earth, hovering above a robotic barge at sea and landing safely. In theory, the booster could then be reused.

They tried it back in January, it nearly came off but the rocket landed a bit too hard and exploded.

Earlier this week, another SpaceX delivery was made to ISS and its booster rocket made another attempt to land.

Again, the rocket made it to the drone ship and it almost looked good but the booster seemed to tip over at the last minute and explode.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk is remaingin optimistic though.
