Man arrested at Dublin Airport uses special drugs toilet to pass 133 pellets of cannabis

The Spanish national appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday and was remanded in custody.

A SPANISH NATIONAL was arrested at Dublin Airport on Tuesday after officers from Revenue’s Customs Service seized 1.3 kilograms of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €7,800.

The 38-year-old man was intercepted on his arrival from Seville, Spain.

Following questioning, officers suspected that he had ingested drugs.

While in Revenue custody he used the special drugs toilet facility to pass a number of pellets of cannabis resin. He was handed over to the gardaí at Dublin Airport Station where he later passed the remainder, amounting to 133 pellets in total.

He appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday and was remanded in custody.
