THE GOOD WEATHER will likely be interrupted this week with thunderstorms in three counties.
The Status Yellow thunderstorm warning will be in effect from 3pm until 9pm on Wednesday in counties Clare, Limerick and Kerry.
Met Éireann has warned of localised flooding, possible lightning damage and difficult travelling conditions.
The week started off warm nationwide and more highs of over 20 degrees are expected for the rest of the week, despite showers.
In Munster, tonight will be largely dry with clear spells before a warm and humid day tomorrow.
Showers will develop on Wednesday afternoon, with the west of the province most likely to be hit by thunderstorms.
Temperatures will reach highs of 20 to 23 degrees with light to moderate southerly breezes.
