Man due in court over syringe robbery

A man in his 30s will appear before a court in Dublin later this morning.

A MAN IS due in court in Dublin today charged in connection with a robbery which saw a shop worker stabbed with a syringe last weekend.

The man in his 30s will appear the Criminal Courts of Justice in court number two at 10.30am this morning.

The robbery happened last Saturday night just before 10pm when a man entered the Spar shop on James’s Street in south Dublin and attempted to rob items from the convenience store.

As shop workers attempted to stop him there was struggle and one of the shop workers was stabbed with a syringe and later hospitalised.

A man was also arrested and was taken to St James’s Hospital where he was treated for a leg injury.
