Body of man (20s) discovered with gunshot wounds in south Dublin

The area was sealed off and the State Pathologist has been informed.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a body was discovered in south Dublin this morning.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was discovered at a rural area of Hills Lane, Crooksling, this morning at about 9am.

Gardaí responded to a call from the public and found the body at the scene.

The area was sealed off and the State Pathologist has been informed.

The Garda Technical team are to carry out a forensic examination of the scene.

It is believed the body had a number of gunshot wounds.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Hills Lane or Crooksling areas, or who may have noticed anything unusual last night or early this morning, to contact them at Tallaght Garda station on 01 666 6000.
