Man in his 20s arrested over Tallaght shooting

It is the third arrest in connection with the killing.

A MAN IN his 20s has been arrested over the shooting dead of Neil Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald’s body was found in a lane in Crooksling, Tallaght over the weekend with gunshot wounds.

A man in his 20s was arrested today in connection with the killing.

He is detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Officers don’t have the weapon that was used but they have recovered a number of bullet cases that were found on the ground.
It’s believed the man was shot where he was discovered.

This is the third arrest as part of this investigation. A man and a woman were arrested on Saturday and remain in custody.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Hills Lane or Crooksling areas, or who may have noticed anything unusual on Friday night or early Saturday to contact them at Tallaght Garda station on 01 666 6000.
