THE TEENAGER WHO was seen being manhandled by a police officer in a video that has gone viral has spoken about the incident.

In the video, which appeared online yesterday, but was shot on Friday, police corporal Eric Casebolt is seen pinning 15-year-old Dajerria Becton to the ground and kneeling on her back.

At one point in the video, Casebolt draws his gun on the crowd of teenagers.

Police in McKinney, Texas, were responding to reports of a fight at a pool party when a number of teens fled.

Local police claimed they “did not live in the area or have permission to be there,” and had been fighting.

“Twisted my arm”

Speaking to Fox4 News, Becton says that she was not involved in the fight and that Casebolt, who has been placed on administrative leave, wrestled her to the ground.

He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids.

“I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad.”

She said that Casebolt being fired is “not enough”.

It is not clear what started the incident, but eyewitness reports indicated at least one older white woman began shouting racist abuse at the children, and a fracas developed.

However, locals say that a number of teenagers didn’t have permission to be at the pool and were fighting with security.
