IT CERTAINLY FEELS like summer’s arrived with highs of 18 to 22 degrees expected today, but there’s changeable weather ahead, Met Éireann has forecast.

Today will be mostly dry throughout the day with spells of hazy sunshine, while it will be cooler along southern and eastern coasts with light to moderate southeasterly breezes.

Tonight will remain dry with minimum temperatures tonight ranging between 5 and 9 degrees.

Tomorrow looks set be another dry day in many areas around Ireland with some bright or sunny spells forecast, mainly in the east and north.

There will, however, be a good deal of cloud, patchy rain and drizzle occurring in west Munster and along the west coast of Connacht. Temperatures tomorrow will range between 15 and 18 degrees.

From Thursday, the weather will be unsettled and changeable.

Friday and the weekend will be a “little cooler” than recent days, Met Éireann has said. While there will be some sunny spells on Saturday and Sunday, there will also be a good deal of cloud overall with scattered showers.

Temperatures this weekend will range between 13 and 18 degrees.

It’s set to become warm again heading into next week, though, with early indications that temperatures could climb close to 20 degrees by midweek in some parts of the country.
