EVERY WEEKDAY evening, brings you the five things you need to know by 5pm.

1. #ONE YEAR IN: To mark the government’s first anniversary in office, has been taking an indepth look at how much progress the coalition has made over the year. We’ve also been looking back over the year in hashtags, and have compiled an ‘in numbers’ report on the past 12 months of government.

Meanwhile, we’ve been asking what grade you would give the government for its first year. Here’s that poll and the results.

2. #OCCUPY: The Occupy Waterford protest camp has been dismantled by city council workers this morning in the company of gardaí. The council said that the camp had been unoccupied for some time before it was taken apart today. The move follows the forced removal of the Occupy Dame Street camp early yesterday morning. Here’s how the foreign press from the US to Egypt have been covering that event.

3. #BONUSES: The CEO of Barclays Bank Bob Diamond has had his multi-million bonuses for last year cut by the bank – but will still take home £6.3 million for the year.

4. #TITANIC: A new series of Titanic images are showing how the stricken liner might have descended in a spin to the ocean floor, instead of straight down as previously thought.

5. #LEGO TECH: Having just built a space shuttle out of Lego, 18-year-old student Raul Oaida decided the best place for it to go was into space. Here’s the video of the tiny shuttle’s journey.
