  • Nobber, Muff, and Blue Ball. Yes these are actual towns in Ireland.
  • Speaking of towns in Ireland, the town of Athy was the unlikely location to find Formula 1 driver Jenson Button today but there he was competing in the Kildare town’s annual triathlon event. And he didn’t do too badly.
  • In other good news for small towns, St Manchan’s Church in Boher, Co Offaly is celebrating tonight after the return of the priceless 12th century St Manchan shrine which was stolen from the church yesterday.
  • Do you follow Hugo Chavez, the Venezeulan president, on Twitter? It might in your interests to start doing so if not bearing in mind he gave his three millionth follower a free house. Yes, a free house.
  • If you missed last night’s celebration of 50 years of the Late Late show then worry not because we’ve rounded up everything, literally everything, that happened on it.
  • Finally, the Euros are nearly here with Ireland getting ready for their final warm-up game against Hungary on Monday night. RTÉ’s excellent Green Is The Colour series is offering a fascinating and fantastic chance to relive some golden moments in our soccer history. Moments which make Big Jack go all teary-eyed:
