A THERAPY PONY who was stolen from a property in Clonmel, Co Tipperary last week has been found.

The theft happened on 29 June, when the pony was taken from the property. Gardaí then launched an investigation into the incident.

Investigators said the eight year-old pony, a therapy animal for its owner’s daughter, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, is microchipped.

This afternoon, gardaí confirmed that the pony has been recovered safely in Cork today.

“The owners are currently en route to collect their pony from Mayfield Garda Station,” gardaí said in a tweet.
