A THIRD BODY has been recovered by divers in the ongoing search for three missing fishermen from the Tit Bonhomme trawler.

The body was found at around 9.30 this morning by a team of local divers, one of whom was a member of the Coastguard.

It is believed to be that one of the two missing Egyptian crew members. Saied aly Eldin (24), Wael Mohamad (32) and Michael Hayes, the 52-year-old skipper of the trawler, are all still missing.

The trawler hit rocks at the mouth of Glandore Harbour in west Cork in the early hours of the morning seven days ago. The only survivor of the wreck was Abdo Mohammed, a brother of Weal.

The search for the two remaining fishermen is continuing off the west Cork coast today. A large number of local residents and other volunteers have joined the Coastguard in the search.
