GARDAÍ HAVE FORMALLY identified the second body found in a house in Boolaglass, Co Limerick as that of Thomas Ruttle, who was in his 50s.

Tests had earlier identified his partner, 63-year-old Julia Holmes.

The couple were found together in the early hours of Monday morning at their home in Boolaglass, near Askeaton.

They hadn’t been seen for two months, and it is understood their remains were in a state of decomposition.

Holmes was wanted by the PSNI, after being charged with fraud in 2011.
