Man (80s) in critical condition following assault in Tipperary last night

The incident occurred at approximately 9:35pm.

A MAN IN his 80s is in critical condition following an assault at St Michael’s Avenue in Tipperary town last night.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:35pm. The man was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, as well as anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 10pm who may have footage of the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
