Eight motorists were stopped for driving while using a mobile as part of the Christmas enforcement campaign yesterday morning.

Officers were also out in force last night, testing motorists for drink driving. Over 100 drivers were tested by Pearse St Traffic Unit.

Meanwhile, people are also being urged to be careful while doing Christmas shopping and to hide any presents that are stored in their car.
