One of the best-funded Kickstarter projects of all time is... something akin to a Swiss Army Jacket

The Baubax Travel Jacket has raised €4.2 million in funding with almost a month left to go.

ONE OF THE many wonderful things the the Back To The Future series brought us was 2015′s self-drying jacket.

Here it is. Just one rung down from a hoverboard on the list of things we wish we had:

dryingmode Drying mode on

Now an American company, San Francisco’s Baubax LLC, has combined those most-2015 of concepts – multi-purpose jackets and crowdfunding – to come up with the Travel Jacket.

And it’s become one of the best-funded Kickstarter projects yet – €4.2 million has been raised already, an incredible 229 times its goal. Which leaves it at 11th in the all-time funding list (the greatest for a clothing product) with almost a month left to fund.

So, while drying-mode may still be the stuff of fantasy, the (quite-cool looking in our opinion) jackets do sport the following features:

Looking good.

And to top it all off situations like this will now be a thing of the past:

Thank heaven for technology.

You can pre-order one of the jackets here if they tickle your fancy. Could make for an interesting Christmas gift.

Given the nature of crowdfunding the jackets themselves won’t be available until November this year however.
