Two arrested over €1.5m cannabis seizure in Limerick

The seizure was made in a location just outside Limerick city last night.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in Limerick following a seizure of cannabis resin with a potential street value €1.5 million, according to Gardaí.

Detectives from Henry Street stopped two vehicles and searched premises in the Limerick area on Friday evening, as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Limerick area.

Cannabis resin with a potential street value of approximately €1.5m was seized during the search.

The two arrested men, aged in their 30s and 40s, are currently detained at Henry Street and Roxoboro Road Garda Stations under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are continuing.
