Two more arrests over armed robbery at Rathfarnham Lidl

A man in his 30s and woman in her 50s were arrested yesterday evening and are being questioned by Gardaí.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING an armed robbery at a supermarket in Rathfarnham on Thursday night have made two further arrests.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s were arrested yesterday evening.

They are being held and questioned at Garda stations in Tallaght and Rathfarnham.

Two men who were arrested following a pursuit on the night of the incident are expected to appear in court tomorrow morning in relation to the incident.

Staff at the Lidl supermarket on the Grange Road, close to Marlay Park, were threatened with a handgun and baseball bat in the raid just before 9pm on Thursday evening.

Gardaí said the money taken from the supermarket in the robbery has since been recovered.
