Police investigating Armagh murder seek driver of Vauxhall Vectra

The police are investigating the murder of Marc Williamson, who was stabbed on Sunday morning in Portadown.

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING THE murder of a young Armagh man are now appealing for the driver of a silver Vauxhall Vectra to contact them.

The car was parked outside a property in Drumannon Park in Portadown at around 4.20am during the early hours of Sunday morning 14 August, the date that Williamson was stabbed.

Police believe the driver may have information which can assist them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information can contact detectives at the incident room on 02838 366366, or police on 084 5600 8000 or alternatively provide information anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Two men are to appear in court in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Williamson in Armagh on Sunday morning.

Williamson, of Richhill, Co Armagh, was stabbed while in the Hartfield Avenue area of Portadown.

The PSNI said today that police have charged a 26-year-old with murder and a 24-year-0ld with assisting an offender and intimidation in connection with this case.

The two men will appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court today.

All charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
