London men charged with plotting terrorism and taking oath of Islamic State group
FOUR LONDON MEN have been charged with plotting acts of terrorism including taking the oath of allegiance of the Islamic State organisation.
The four men were arrested by Scotland Yard over the past two weeks with a fifth man charged with firearms offences.
The five men are aged between 20 and 25 and all have addresses in London.
The four charged with terrorism offences are alleged to have committed the offences between July and October of this year.
They are named Tarik Hassane (21), Suhaib Majeed (20), Nyall Hamlett (24) and Momen Motasim (21).
The charges allege that the men intended to commit acts of terrorism or assist others to do so.
They include that they took the oath of allegiance to the IS group and attempted to source a firearm and moped for use in a terrorist act.
Metropolitan Police also claim that the men viewed and saved an Instagram image of two police officers.

The fifth man, Nathan Cuffy, is charged with sourcing a handgun, silencer and ammunition for Hamlett.
All five men have arrived at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and are expected to appear at 2.30pm today.
